The Marc Pinizzotto Cup

Honouring a Life of Service, Leadership and Community

The ORTR community is proud to honour the memory of Police Constable Marc Pinizzotto through the Marc Pinizzotto Cup.

Marc was a devoted husband, father, police officer, coach, teammate and member of the Oakville community. He dedicated his life to serving and supporting others — both through his career in policing and through his involvement in the local sports community.

On June 11, 2026, Marc was killed in the line of duty while serving as a member of the Toronto Police Service Emergency Task Force. He was 43 years old and had proudly served with the Toronto Police Service for 18 years.

His loss was felt deeply across Oakville, the policing community, and the many sports communities he touched. Marc was known not only for his service as a police officer, but for the time he gave to young athletes and the relationships he built through sport.

A Cup With a Purpose

The Marc Pinizzotto Cup will be awarded to the team that raises the most money during our fundraising campaign.

This gives the cup a purpose beyond competition. It brings teams together to celebrate community, generosity and the impact that one person can have on the lives of others.

Every dollar raised represents an opportunity for our ORTR community to come together in Marc’s memory and to support a cause that reflects the values he lived by: service, teamwork, leadership and helping others.

The winning team will have its name added to the Marc Pinizzotto Cup, creating a lasting tradition that will carry Marc’s name forward through future seasons.

With the Support of Marc’s Family

We are deeply grateful to Marc’s wife, Andrea, for giving her approval for us to honour Marc’s memory by naming this cup after him.

We recognize the significance of carrying someone’s name forward in this way, and we are honoured to do so with the utmost respect for Marc, his family, his friends, his colleagues and everyone who knew and loved him.

Our hope is that the Marc Pinizzotto Cup becomes an annual reminder of the life Marc lived, the people he inspired and the importance of coming together to support one another.
